Introduction

The Swahili word “Amani” originates from Arabic meaning peace, desires, wishes, aspirations. Amani Mara is an eco-conscious luxury safari oasis nestled in Kenya’s world-renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Favored by an unbeatable location, Mara Bush camp is located in Olare orok Conservancy on the banks of the Ntiak river 5km northeast of the Maasai Mara National game reserve. Such unique positioning right outside of the reserve allows for more activities such as nature walks, night game drives, bush dinners and elaborate sundowners.

Amani mara Camp has beautifully designed with 13 Single rooms and 1 family rooms. The rooms are well furnished with African feel, soothing whites and earthly tones, creating a warm ambience. Salvaged wood beams of native eucalyptus and African olive support an immersion into nature that breeds an authentic experience cocooned in luxury.  Perched high above the Ntiak Ntiak River and devoid of neighbors, our private hideaway offers panoramic views of resident wildlife and the ultimate in privacy and personalized service. Besides accommodation other facilities are Lounge and Bar: The main building houses a lounge with an inviting fireplace and a view deck, offering magnificent views of the surrounding plains, swimming Pool and Spa: Amani Mara Camp boasts a beautifully carved swimming pool and spa, providing guests with rejuvenating and refreshing experiences amidst the wilderness. The camp also provides free parking, airport pick-ups and drop-offs, laundry, ironing, and housekeeping services. How to get there

Amani Mara is located in the Olare Orok region a mere 5 km northeast of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Guests access the Reserve through a special concession access point which is about a 10-minute picturesque drive with wildlife sightings and a Maasai homestead end-route to the entrance point. By air we are a short 45-minute flight from Wilson to Musiara or Olkiombo airstrip with a scenic drive to and from camp. By road the route is manageable with most SUV’s or offroad capable vehicles, please check with us to confirm.The route is approximately 33 km by tarmac and 52 km on gravel road to Aitong and a further 19 km to camp on dirt roads. Travel time is ± 2 hrs. and 40 mins to camp from Narok.

We are not a fenced property and thus we have resident plains game that

wander within the premises.

The biggest and only regret we hear from our guests is that they wished they stayed longer with us. Although it never feels quite long enough at our sanctuary in the bush, we highly recommend a stay of at least 3 nights to capture the true experience of Amani mara.

Amani Mara is located 5 kilometers (or about 15 minutes by car) northeast of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, within the Olare Orok Conservancy.
